and are according to the Brazilian Forest Legislation
and to the Convention of International Trade of Wild
Fauna and Flora of Endangered Species (CITES - Washington,
DC).

ANGELIM-PEDRA
(Hymenolobium)
General Characteristics: heartwood light yellowish
brown distinct from the pale brown sapwood, it has
an accentuated fibrous aspect at the tangential
figure, due to prominence of axial parenchyma, fibers
and vascular lines, grain interlocked, texture coarse,
luster lacking and with not distinticve door. Some
Applications: easy to work, civil constrution, furniture
has good finishing and is very durable.
Density: medium density wood, at 13% humidity content
785 Kg/m3, when green 1,210 Kg/m3, dry very rapidly.

CEDAR (Cedrela Odorata)
General
Characteristics: heartwood dark pink and the sapwood
is pale pink, bitter taste, aromatic odor, grain
wavy, modareta luster or lacking.
Some Applications: furniture, plywood, frames,
naval constructions, window sashes, very easy
to work in sanding, boring, planing.
Density: medium density wood, with 13% humidity
has 485 Kg/m3, when green has 635 Kg/m3, easy
to dry, dry very fast in air and kiln-dry.

CHERRY WOOD (Amburana Caerensis)
General
Characteristics: aromatic odor and bitter taste,
grain interlocked, medium texture, moderate luster,
heartwood and sapwood light yellowish brown.
Some Applications: furniture, chairs, decorative
articles, cabinet work, doors and others.
Density: medium density wood, with 13% humidity
has 610 Kg/m3, green has 895 Kg/m3, easy to dry
in kiln -dry, dry slowly in air dry. |

CUMARU (Dipteryx Odorata)
General
Characteristics: not distinctive odor or taste,
sapwood brown, yellowish brown heartwood.
Some Applications: in and out construtions, flooring,
naval construtions, turnery.
Density: heavy wood, with 13% humidity has 1,070
Kg/m3, green has 1,300 Kg/m3, dry very slow in air-dry
and more faster kiln-dry. |

General
Characteristics:
not a distinctive odor or taste, grain wavy, heartwood
ligth brown and sapwood ligth brown.
Uses: furniture, plywood, civil constructions, easy
to work, turn, has a good finishing.
Density: medium density wood, at 13% humidity content
805 Kg/m3, when green 1,235 Kg/m3, dry very rapidly
in air or kiln-dry.

General
Characteristics: not distinctive odor or taste,
heartwood and sapwood pale yellow, grain straight
or interlocked.
Some Applications: flooring, furniture, plywood,
regular to work and finishing.

Kg/m3, green has 1,215 Kg/m3, dry very slow in
air-dry and more faster kiln-dry.

General
Characteristics: not distinctive odor or taste,
yellow sapwood, dark olive, sometimes dark brown
heartwood, grain interlocked, texture medium.
Some Applications: flooring, civil constructions,

to boring, sanding.
Density: heavy density wood, with 13% humidity
has 1,103 Kg/m3, green has 1,315 Kg/m3, dry very
fast in air-dry and kiln-dry.

Some Applications:
easy to work, glues well, can uses in furniture,
musical instruments, is very good for framing.

content 445 Kg/m3, when green 1,155 Kg/m3, dry
very rapidly in air or kiln-dry.

Characteristics: stripes dark red, grain wavy or
slightly interlocked, luster moderate a taste and
odor distinctive.

gives a very good lustrous surface.
